In my math class, I sit by these people that you would never advise a mormon to sit with. Two of them are hard-core stoners, one is engaged/17/6 months pregnant, one has made it a habit to come to school with a hangover just about every day, and the last one is constantly talking about living with her boyfriend and the benefits of no parental supervision, if you catch my drift. Now you see why a mormon should not be sitting with them?
Well, as it turns out, every one of them has a lot of questions about being a member. For example, yesterday, one of the girls was asking me all about what we couldn't do, if we were allowed to marry outside our church, all the polygamy stuff that every single person I have met still thinks is a part of our church. Don't worry though :) I demolish any thought or connection they may have of mormons being polygamists :)
The whole point I was trying to make here is that you never know who could be interested. Be a friend to every one, that way, you are never missing a chance to share the truth of our wonderful church.

The Trouble with music...
So, I'm gonna be honest here. I love music. I have very eclectic tastes though. I like oldies, country, pop, electric, alternative, techno, classical, piano, R & B, some rap, and much, much more.
Here is the problem: Finding clean music. I have 5 radio stations that I listen to, all of which are pretty clean. But every so often, there is a really good song on, and all of a sudden BAM!!! Cuss word. I have heard these songs so often though that I have a replacement word.
You may be thinking, well, ya, it swears, you found a replacement word, whats the problem here? THAT IT SWEARS! The problem is that I, like most teenagers, have trouble controlling my thoughts. So then, in the middle of the day, this song pops into my head. But, the replacement word is not in my head. The word just plays over and over and over in my head! I hate having that floating around up there!
So that's my vent for today. Now I have a scripture that pertains to music :) It is actually a scripture mastery :) Doctrine & Covenants 25:12 Look it up! Scripture study is a good replacement for a bad song stuck in your head by the way :)

Welcome!
Hola readers!
I would like to let you know that I created this blog to share stories of what it is like to be a teenage mormon. And no, this is not just for girls, I just couldn't think of a nickname for mormon boys :)
I would also like to invite anyone to also post stories or experiences they have had as a teenage mormon. I will be posting anything from missionary experiences to trials or just venting sometimes. You are most welcome to share your thoughts and experiences.
This blog is meant to be a place for teenage mormons to share their thoughts and feelings about being what we are!
Lastly, I am a proud member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints! I hope you are too!
Good luck out there! :D
